Settling down for a meal at Fresh, The Rosebank’s chic restaurant is like taking in a gulp of fresh air.

From the green tinged walls contrasted by pristine white furniture to the spread of crisp, crunchy fruit as you enter the eatery, Fresh offers a different perspective to a weekend out for brunch. It simply screams Bon appétit! But be warned, come hungry.

For those who have missed the first meal of the day, Fresh offers a scrumptious brunch with all the trimmings including a cereal and pastry corner. For R175 your meal could run over a couple of hours while poring over the complimentary newspaper, The Weekender and enjoying a glass of sparkling wine or a pot of coffee or tea on the house. In the background a compilation of The Rosebank’s smooth music selection wafts across the restaurant mixing the new age and classics. The Weekend Brunch is served between 11h00 and 14h30 so you can take your time and sample all the culinary delights.

Andrew Hammond, creator of this heavenly offering, has certainly pulled all stops. He has let loose his creativity and palate to come up with a weekend food bonanza. For the vegetarians or fruitarians, the severely hungover or those seeking some good food, The Rosebank’s buffet array will not disappoint. Included are some hearty favourites like the Duck and Cherry Pie as well as the traditional fare, often presented with a twist to add some tangy fun.

"Design is as important as taste and flavour. The best part of the restaurant is that everything is fresh, from the food through to the décor. We ensure all food types are freshly prepared and presented," says Hammond. "I believe every dish should display its own distinctive character, colour and taste.

For meat lovers, roast fillet of beef or sugar baked gammon is available with chicken and turkey thrown in for good measure. Seafood lovers are spoilt for choice with Sushi, oysters, calamari and prawns. Chefs prepare the Stir Fry a la minute and guests can pick and choose accompaniments from a varied selection of vegetables, meat and seafood. The dessert buffet is a mouthwatering temptation with a variety of tasty treats to satisfy everyone from those with a sweet tooth to the health conscious.

The menu changes seasonally and is influenced by special Sunday events such as Mother’s day and Easter Sunday. Fresh caters for all age groups and children under 12 pay half price. Whether it’s Saturday or Sunday, come and enjoy great food at your leisure.
