Jozi’s trendiest cosmopolitan business address, Crowne Plaza Johannesburg –The Rosebank, recently put on a weekend of glitz and glamour to celebrate its first birthday following a R315 million upgrade.

With music pumping and drinks freely flowing, Jozi’s well heeled, celebrities and young professionals -- among them former Miss SA Cindy Nell -- danced the night away to a fusion of old classics and groovy modern beats. South Africa’s famous and talented mixologist – Kurt Schlechter whipped up the magic with a new Strawberry vanilla float concoction as well as old favourites like the ‘Kiss kiss, bang bang’.

“This first year is a great milestone for us after the renovation as the team has worked extremely hard to build on our reputation as an upmarket business destination” said general manager, Trevor Latimer.

To celebrate the first anniversary, the hotel offered a weekend special of R500 per room per night while wonderful spot prizes were also given away all weekend. Over the birthday weekend, guests took advantage of fantastic specials from the luxury Seven Colours Spa to spoil their loved ones. On the culinary side, the signature Butcher Block restaurant treated guests to some scrumptious meals.
